A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed in west Belfast.

Police say the brutal stabbing happened around 9 pm last night, Saturday, August 27, in the Britton’s Court area.

The victim was rushed to the Royal Victoria Hospital’s emergency department.

A 26-year old man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.

He is currently being held at the PACE custody suite in Musgrave PSNI station.

Detectives from the Reactive and Organised Crime Branch at Musgrave have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on the 101 number.
