Police on the trail of gang initimidating vulnerable people in Bangor

THE PSNI has called for an end to the intimidation of vulnerable people in Bangor, Co Down.

Police said groups of young people have been gathering in the Bloomfield estate over the last week causing “apprehension and concern” among residents.

Constable Knox of Bangor PSNI said: “Some of these individuals have found it amusing to throw eggs, bricks and fireworks at properties.

“It shouldn’t take a genius to work out that this behaviour is dangerous, intimidating and needs to stop.

“Police will be increasing activity to deal with this so I would ask parents to make themselves aware of the whereabouts of their kids before they end up with a life impacting criminal record.

“If you have any information on who may be supplying fireworks or the identities of individuals involved with this anti-community behaviour please contact me directly in 07795 607308 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
