Police probe south Belfast car hijacking at knifepoint

DETECTIVES are investigating after two men, one of whom was armed with a knife, hijacked a car in south Belfast on Friday morning.

The men approached the driver of a black-coloured Volkswagen Golf parked in the Windsor Avenue area shortly before 5.15am.

They threatened the man and following a short struggle, made off in the car towards the Lisburn Road.

The suspects are described as being in their early 20s and wearing light-coloured hooded tops.
