ANTI-TERRORIST detectives in the Republic have been granted extra time to question eight dissident republican suspects.
A court granted an application to extention to their detention on Saturday.
Offices from the Special Detective Unit recovered a loaded firearm during a search of a premises in Clondalkin as part of the inquiry on Friday morning.
A further ten searches have been carried out as part of the investigation.
The eight men are aged from their mid-20s to 50s.
They are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act at a number of garda stations across Dublin.
