The World Oyster Eating Championship at the 21st Hillsborough International Oyster Festival is returning bigger and better than ever on Saturday, 8th September. County Down’s Oyster King, Colin Shirlow, pictured with local Chefs, Danny Millar and Derek Patterson, has won the championship eight times and holds the Guinness World Record for knocking back a whopping 233 oysters in just three minutes! The event this year will see him defend his title from major international hitters including heavyweight American eating champions, Notorious B.O.B and Matt ‘Megatoad’ Stonie.
