Police investigate man’s stabbing in south Belfast

DETECTIVES are investigating after a 30-year-old man was stabbed in south Belfast.

The attack took place in Filbert Drive in Dunmurry around 5.15 am on Friday morning, say the PSNI.

The victim was rushed to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

In a separate incident, two other men were also assaulted in an attack.

The incident happened near Bell Steele Road in Poleglass, west Belfast around 11 am on Friday.

A 22-year-old man suffered injuries to his head, while a 24-year-old sustained damage to his hand.

Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Detectives do not believe the incidents are related but have appealed for anyone with information about the attacks to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
