THE PSNI is carrying out a series of raids and arrests on Thursday evening over flag protests and associated rioting.

Belfast Daily understands that the searches and arrests are being carried out by officers from ‘Operation Titan’.

It is understood the operations are being carried out in the Conway Street area of the Shankill district and Tiger’s Bay in the north of the city.

Last week, police issued a montage of 150 suspects they wanted to question in relation to protests and serious public disorder.

A number of people have already handed themselves into police at Musgrave Street PSNI for voluntary interview.
