Detectives at Ardmore CID in Newry charge a man with robbery and possession of a firearm

DETECTIVES have charged a 42 year old man with robbery and possession of a firearm with intent.

He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April  23.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

It is believed the charges relate to an incident in the Upper Water Street area of Newry on Thursday, January 30.
