FOUR ARRESTED OVER RAID ON BRITISH LEGION CLUB

Police scene armed copDETECTIVES are questioning four men who were arrested following a burglary at a Royal British Legion hall.

Police were made aware of an alarm activation at the premises in Donaghcloney around 2.08 am on Friday morning, May 16.

Officers attended and found that entry had been forced to the premises.

Police viewed CCTV footage and observed four males entering the building.

Local officers liaised with their colleagues in Traffice Branch and an Armed Response Unit.

As a result a silver Volkswagen Golf was stopped in the Bentrim Road area of Lisburn.

Three males, aged 30, 32 and 36 years old, were arrested on suspicion of burglary. A 28 year old male was arrested a short time later in Belfast on suspicion of burglary.

All four were released on bail pending further enquiries.
