NORTH BELFAST DUO HUNTED AFTER MAN STABBED IN FACE

PSNIPOLICE in Musgrave are appealing for information following a robbery in the Antrim Road area of Belfast last Wednesday, May 14.

The PSNI that some time between 8.00pm and 8.30pm as a man was walking through the waterworks close to the Westland Road entrance a male ask him for a ‘light’.

As he went to give him a light the male stabbed him in the face and hand. There was also a second male who stole the victim’s Samsung Galaxy phone.

Both unknown males ran towards the Westland Estate.

The male with the knife is described as follows:- Approximately 6’2″, of broad build, approximately 30 years of age with a local accent.

He was wearing a grey hoody, light coloured jeans and a bright blue ‘McKenzie’ cap down over his eyes.

The second male who stole the phone is described as follows:- Approximately 5’8″ tall, thin build, 25 years of age and wearing a full black tracksuit with the hood up and wearing white earphones.

The victim received hospital treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact the Case Progression Team at Musgrave Police Station on the new non-emergency number 101.
