OMBUDSMAN PROBE OVER AFTER PSNI CAR INVOLVED IN CRASH

police accident 1THE Police Ombudsman has launched an investigation following a road crash involving a police vehicle and a car.

The smash happened at Bell’s Bridge, Belfast shortly after 2.30 am on Sunday morning.

The two occupants of the car have been taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Four police officers were also taken to hospital for their injuries which are also not believed to be life threatening.

One PSNI officer remains in hospital.

The Police Ombudsman’s Office has been informed.

Police say no one has been arrested over the two-vehicle crash.
