DETECTIVES are investigating a punishment shooting this evening.

Police say a man was shot in the legs on the Ballycolman estate in Strabane, Co Tyrone.

PSNI officers were alerted to the incident around 7 pm.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit (TIU) have appealed for witnesses to contact them on the 101 non-emergency number.
