DETECTIVES are investigating after a 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted.

The attack happened during the early hours of Sunday morning in a walkway in the Johnston Park area of Omagh, Co Tyrone.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the investigation was at an early stage and appealed for anyone who was in the area between 1am and 3pm to come forward.
