BELFAST-based adventure centre We Are Vertigo has opened Northern Ireland’s first, and at 40,000 square feet, Europe’s largest indoor trampoline park.
The highly-anticipated trampoline park has opened its doors just in time for the holiday season. Even before its launch, the innovative facility was in high demand, with bookings for the next few months flooding in.
The park, which is the first of its kind in Northern Ireland, includes three basketball lanes, a stunt pit, a gladiator balance beam, 3D dodgeball court, high performance trampoline and interconnecting trampoline bed across the floor and walls. The park also features a café, seating area, games area and a 100 foot zipline, all overlooked by a viewing platform.
The state-of-the-art facility is a fantastic addition to We Are Vertigo’s existing adventure centre, which was opened by owners Gareth and Lorna Murphy in 2013 and includes two indoor ski slopes, climbing walls, high and low sky trail course and an alpine themed soft play village. The launch of the latest phase of the development has created 50 new jobs.
Commenting at the official opening, Gareth Murphy, We Are Vertigo said: “Trampoline parks are already vastly popular in America and right across Europe and this park is the first of its kind in Northern Ireland.
“The trampolines are suitable for people of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re looking for a team building day with your colleagues; a way of getting fit in the New Year; or just simply a way to entertain the kids in their free time, a great day out is guaranteed.
“The new trampoline park is a great addition to the facilities we already offer at We Are Vertigo and we’ve been delighted with the response to date, with some of the time slots for trampoline sessions already fully booked.”
In the design and the development of We Are Vertigo’s new complex, the needs and comfort of parents and other non-participating patrons has been given equal consideration, creating a welcoming environment to all.
Lorna Murphy, We Are Vertigo added: “The enjoyment and comfort of all our customers is of the utmost importance. We have created a café and seating facilities on site, where parents and can relax and watch the kids having fun. We also have a number of private rooms for hire, which can be used for birthday parties, group celebrations or corporate functions.”
“We’ve been thrilled by the public response to the launch and we’re committed to building on our offering to bring a new and exciting social and fitness experience to people of all ages in Northern Ireland. We have a number of plans in the pipeline for the New Year, including a range of fitness classes for adults, teenage discos, toddler mornings and the launch of a new dodgeball league. We hope the new centre will act as a real hub for the community, and bring something truly unique to Belfast’s social and entertainment scene.”
We Are Vertigo’s trampoline park is suitable for all ages from 4 years old upwards. The cost for a one hour session is £12 (including special socks) and there is a weight restriction of 17.5 stone.
