POLICE have charged a 21-year-old man with burglary with intent to steal from a Belfast church.
The suspect is to appear at Belfast Magistrate’s Court this morning for a first remand hearing.
The charge relates to a burglary at a church in the Donegall Street area of north Belfast on Wednesday.
A man was arrested at the scene following the incident.
As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
Wedneday’s burglary was the latest in a spate of break-ins at the church over the previous week.
During the first robbery, a thief smashed his way into the property through a side door.
