SUSPECT HUNTED OVER HOAX BOMB CALLS IN NORTH BELFAST

North Belfast hoax bomb calls picTHIS is the man police are hunting over hoax bomb calls in north Belfast.

The bogus calls were made in August 2014 tying police resources while the incidents were being investigated.

Today, detectives in north Belfast have issued a picture of a suspect they are trying to locate.

Detective Sergeant Conor Sweeney said: “We would like to speak to the man in this image.

“It was taken at a commercial premises on the Cliftonville Road area in North Belfast on 29 August 2014.

“He is described as being approximately 5ft 8 “, wearing a white tee shirt, blue hooded top, grey shorts and blue and white trainers.

“We are keen to identify the male captured on the CCTV and we are asking anyone who believes they may know his identity to contact the CID at Musgrave Station.

“We would also like to hear from anyone with any other information that could assist in the investigation. Contact the non-emergency number 101 or if someone would prefer to pass information anonymously they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
