WOMAN CHARGED WITH DOUBLE MURDER BID AFTER HOUSE BURGLARY

Craigavon Magistrates CourtA woman is to face a court this morning charged with trying to kill two women.

The victims, one in her 30s and one in her 50s, were taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital hospital after being attacked in the early at Cloona Manor in the early hours of Monday.

Detectives said both victims received stab wounds in the attack just after 2 am.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The 28-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, aggravated burglary and inflicting grievous bodily harm.

She is due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court later for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Yesterday, a 35-year-old man faced the same court charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of attempted murder.
