THE funeral will take place later in Carrickfergus pensioner Eddie Girvan.
The 67 was found dead in his home at Station Road, Greenisland on Monday, January 18.
His hands had been bound and he had been stabbed.
A 29-year-old Belfast woman has appeared in court charged with his murder.
Prostitute and heroin addict Maggie Henderson replied ‘aye’ when the murder charge was put to her at Belfast Magistrates Court.
She was remanded in custody to the women’s prison at Hydebank Wood YOC in south Belfast.
Henderson, who was living at a hostel in Verner Street where Mr Girvan’s stolen Hyundai Sonata car was found, will appear back in court next month via video link.
Two other men arrested along with Henderson were released by detectives unconditionally.
