POLICE have charged a 31 year old man over a massive £75,000 drugs bust.

He has been charged with possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply, possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

The man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, Wednesday, May, 18.

As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

The charge follows the seizure of suspected class A and B drugs, estimated to be in excess of £75,000 worth, following the search of a property in the Belmont Road area of East Belfast in the early hours of Tuesday 17 May.

A 21 year old man who was also arrested has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
