DETECTIVES investigating a stabbing incident in west Belfast have arrested two men.

The incident happened in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, 1 June.

The men detained are both aged 39.

Police say the stabbing is believed to have occurred shortly before 1.30 am.

A man has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact Detectives from Reactive & Organised Crime Branch at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
