THERE is a security alert this afternoon in north Belfast.

Etna Drive is currently closed due to discovery of suspicious object at a house in the area.

A number of homes have been evacuated.

Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Army Technical Officers are at the scene to examine the object.
