BEER, CIDER, SPIRIT AND CHEESE FESTIVAL AT THE SLIEVE DONARD

SOME of County Down’s finest food and drink artisanal producers will be at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa, Newcastle on October 29th for the inaugural Slieve Donard Beer, Cider, Spirit and Cheese Festival.

This fabulous new food and drink event, supported by both Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Tourism Northern Ireland, is part of the annual Hallowtides calendar of celebrations taking place in Newcastle over Halloween.

Drinks exhibitors at the festival include Whitewater Brewery, Kilmegan Cider, Farmageddon Brewery, Tempted Cider, Hughes Spirits (Ruby Blue vodka) and Shortcross Gin, and local food producers include Kearney Blue Cheese and Fivemiletown Creamery.

Stephen Meldrum, General Manager at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa, said:  “We are thrilled to announce that the Slieve Donard will be hosting an incredible new festival that lovers of good food and drink will be flocking to in their droves.

“Our Beer, Cider, Spirit and Cheese Festival will showcase many of County Down’s finest brands who will be there to talk about what they do with such enthusiasm that it’s impossible not to get totally drawn in.  On top of that there will be lots of food and drink to sample to ensure a good time is had by all.

Tickets for the event cost £12 per person.

This includes thee drinks tokens and a souvenir glass.
