A man in his 70s has tragically died after carbon monoxide was detected in his home.

The fire service were called to the house at Albert Street in Lurgan shortly before 10 pm on Sunday night..

Three fire appliances attended the scene and fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus found the man’s body.

The fire service established an exclusion zone around the house for an hour afterwards.

People living nearby were advised to stay indoors as the building was ventilated and made safe.
