NORTHERN Ireland’s biggest independent security company Mercury Security Management has been appointed by Beannchor, one of the country’s biggest hospitality groups, to provide a comprehensive security solution for a number of its high-profile sites.
Lisburn-based Mercury, which also has offices in Dublin, Limerick and London, was awarded the contract to secure the properties after a thorough tender process.
It will be responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV systems across 10 Beannchor sites including the Little Wing Pizzeria chain, The National Grande Café & Sixty6 Nightclub, The Hillside Bar and The Dirty Onion.
All alarm systems will be monitored off site by Mercury’s award-winning NSI Gold ARC/RVRC Monitoring Centre, from where the company keeps a watchful eye over an ever growing portfolio of clients which also includes CastleCourt Shopping Centre, NIHE, Lifestyle Sports, Smyths Toys, HMV and Office Outlet.

“Over the past decade, we have independently invested more than £5 million in the latest technology and training to enable us to provide innovative cutting edge security solutions for major contracts such as this one.
“Almost £2 million alone has been invested in our NSI Gold approved Command and Control Monitoring Centre from where we can monitor premises across the world, from Belfast to the other side of the world in Australia.
“The ability to win contracts like Beannchor shows that our investment strategy is paying off and continues to position Mercury at the forefront of the security industry, providing innovative integrated security solutions to our ever expanding client base,” added Mr Cullen.

The Beannchor Group was founded more than 30 years ago by entrepreneur Bill Wolsey.
He now operates a portfolio of more than 60 hotels, pubs and restaurants across Northern Ireland including The Merchant Hotel, Bullitt Hotel, The National Grande Café and Sixty 6 nightclub, The Dirty Onion, Cuckoo and The Hillside, as well as six Little Wing Pizzerias, employing over 750 people.
