A MAN is to appear in court tomorrow over a police probe into the distribution of child pornography images.

A police spokesperson said tonight: “Detectives from the PSNI’s Public Protection Branch, Child Internet Protection Team, have charged a 50-year-old man with making, distributing and the possession of indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornographic material, voyeurism and possession of a firearm without a certificate.

“He is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court on Friday 1 February.

“As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.”
