MAN ARRESTED OVER SOUTH BELFAST HOUSE BURGLARY

POLICE are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a house in the Annadale Avenue area of south Belfast, in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, October 1.

At approximately 1.50 am police received a report of this burglary.

It is not known at this stage if anything has been stolen.

“The occupants were not injured but were left badly shaken following the incident.”

A 32 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in custody at this time assisting with enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Hollie McCartan said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the Annadale Avenue area this morning and noticed any suspicious activity to contact police at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 70 of 01/10/19.

“Alternatively, information can also be reported to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
