THREE ARRESTED AFTER CASH STOLEN FROM WEST BELFAST ATM MACHINE

DETECTIVES investigating the theft of cash from an ATM within commercial premises on Grosvenor Road, Belfast, on 10 August have today (Friday 11 October) made three arrests.

Detective Inspector Richard Thornton said: “We have today arrested three individuals – a female aged 47, a male aged 49 and a male aged 51 – on suspicion of burglary.

“The 51-year-old man has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

“The 47-year-old woman and 49-year-old man remain in custody, assisting with police enquiries.

“This investigation continues and I am appealing to anyone with information to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 631 of 10/08/19.

“I’m also asking members of the public for their continued support.  If you see anything suspicious in an area where ATMs are located, please contact us immediately.

“Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
