ARMED MAN ROBS PETROL STATION OF CASH AND CIGARETTES

DETECTIVES are investigating an armed robbery at a filling station on the Falls Road in west Belfast on Monday, February 3, 2020.

A man armed with a suspected firearm entered the filling station shortly before 10.30 pm on Monday evening.

He instructed members of staff to put money and cigarettes into a bag before making off on foot in the direction of a nearby cemetery.

The man was described as being around 6’ tall, aged in his 20’s with a local accent and was wearing a dark coloured hooded top and white trainers.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information is asked to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 2003 03/02/20.
