POLICE are currently in attendance at a security alert.

It centres on the Pinebank area of Craigavon following the discovery of a suspicious object in the area this morning, Sunday 10 May.

A number of homes have been evacuated and a section of Pinebank has been closed to traffic.

Police would urge members of the public to remain vigilant and if they come across anything suspicious, or that looks out of the ordinary, not to touch it and to report it to police immediately on 101.
