DETECTIVES investigating assaults on two women in the Glen Road area of Andersonstown in west Belfast yesterday afternoon, Saturday, May 30, have charged two men. 

The men, aged 27 and 33 years old, are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court, via video link, on Monday, June 1. 

The 27-year-old has been charged with two counts of common assault. 

The 33-year-old man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and grievous bodily harm with intent. 

As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service. 

It is understood the charges are in relation to assaults on two women in the Glen Road area yesterday afternoon.

One of the women is in hospital.
