DETECTIVES have charged a 42 year old man with a number of offences including two counts of attempted murder and possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply.

He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court today morning, Monday, September 21 for a first remand hearing

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

These charges are in connection with an incident which took place on First Avenue, Newry at around 10.50pm on Saturday, 19 September.
