Detectives in Belfast have charged a 30 year old man with robbery. 

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning (Monday, December 7th).

As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service. 

The charges relate to the report of a robbery which occurred at the Donegall Street area of Belfast on Saturday, December 5.

During the incident the victim was struck with a metal object before being robbed in an entry.
