DETECTIVES investigating a stabbing incident in the Belmont Road area of east Belfast on Sunday, October 31, have charged a man.

The 29-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Wednesday, November 3, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
