Police investigating a serious assault in the Cavehill Country Park area of north Belfast on Monday evening have made two arrests.
The two men, aged in their thirties and forties, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The man in his 40s has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The other man remains in custody, assisting with enquiries at this time.
