A 21 year old man has been charged with a number of drugs related offences over an investigation into East Belfast UVF criminality.
He has been charged with possession of class A and class B drugs, possession of class A and class B drugs with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday, December 6, for a first remand hearing.
As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges are in connection with the arrest of a man in East Belfast on Saturday 4th December by officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF), investigating suspected drugs criminality linked to East Belfast UVF.
PCTF officers carried out a search of a vehicle in the east Belfast area yesterday.
Suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £100,000 was seized.
A subsequent search of a nearby residential property uncovered cocaine with an estimated street value of £4,000 and other items suspected to be criminal property.
