DETECTIVES appealing for information following a report of a serious assault in east Belfast yesterday, Saturday, December 11).
Detective Sergeant Faulkner said: “Police received a report at 3.40pm that a man had been assaulted by a group of people in the Bryson Street area.
“The man, aged in his 20s, is believed to have been attacked with what is suspected to have been a bladed weapon, and has sustained serious injuries to his hand.
“The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
“It is believed the suspects made off down Mountford Street following the attack.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would ask anyone who was in the area and saw anything, or who may have dashcam or other footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference 1167 of 11/12/21.”
