DETECTIVES investigating the dissident republican murder of Mark Hall in Rodney Drive, West Belfast last month have arrested a pensioner on suspicion of a number of offences including murder and attempted murder.
The 65-year-old man was arrested in Belfast this morning, Sunday, January 9, and currently remains in custody being questioned by detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch.
Hall was visiting his sick mum when two gunman blasted him to death, firing through a living room window on Saturday, December 18.
He had only arrived at the house a short time earlier after travelling from his new home in Meath.
Officers continue to appeal to anyone who was in the St James or Rodney Drive area on Saturday and who witnessed any suspicious activity or captured dash-cam footage in the area to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1466 18/12/21.
