Detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team, investigating the murder of Natasha Melendez in Lisburn on 23 March 2020, have charged a 33 year old man with her murder.

He has also been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He is expected to appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court via video link tomorrow morning, Friday, January 21, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
