Detectives in west Belfast have charged a 39-year-old man with several offences including attempted robbery, possession of a class C controlled drug, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and common assault.
It follow a robbery bid at a commercial premises yesterday afternoon, Sunday, February 6, at Broom Park in Dunmurry.
He is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, February 7, via videolink for a first remand hearing.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
