DETECITVES investigating the stabbing of a pharmacist on the Antrim Road in North Belfast last Saturday, March 5, have charged a man.
The 36-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences which include aggravated burglary with intent to steal, wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, March 8, via videolink from nearby Musgrave Police Station.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A 29-year-old woman also arrested over the incident has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
