Detectives investigating an incident in the Grovefield Street area of east Belfast on Wednesday 27th April, in which a man sustained a number of stab wounds, have charged a 26 year old man with possession of an offensive weapon and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 28, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
