Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force investigating suspected drugs criminality linked to the East Belfast UVF have charged three men, aged 41, 55, and 64.
The men have been charged with offences including being concerned in the supply of Class A controlled drugs, possession of Class A controlled drugs, and possessing criminal property.
The charges follow searches carried out in east Belfast yesterday, Friday 27th May, during which a quantity of cocaine worth around £200,000 and a sum of cash were seized.
All three men will appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Saturday, May 28, for a first remand hearing.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
