Detectives from the PSNI’s Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) investigating the criminal activities of the West Belfast UDA have this morning, Wednesday, October 5, arrested two men during a proactive search in the Shankill area of North Belfast.
The search was in connection with the seizure of approximately £190,000 worth of Class A drugs in East Belfast on 21st November 2021.
As a result of the search today, cash and a quantity of controlled drugs were seized.
A police spokesperson said: “The suspects, aged 34 and 44, were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and have been taken into custody for questioning.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
