Detectives investigating the murder of Mark Lovell in Ardcarn Park, Newry, on the evening of Thursday, December 1, have arrested two men.

The arrests follow searches of properties in the Newry area this morning, Wednesday 7 December 7.

The two men, aged 45 and 40, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody at this time.

Detectives are continuing their appeal for anyone with information to contact them on 101.

On Tuesday, Crimestoppers offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the brutal murder.
