POLICE say two men are in hospital after being shot in west Belfast.

The brutal attack happened in the Roumania Rise area on Monday night.

The PSNI say that shortly after 10.30 pm, it was reported that two men had been shot, both once in the leg.

They were both taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Police appealed for anyone with information to contact them on the 101 number.
