Officers from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Unit have charged a 33-year-old man with possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession with intent to supply and using a vehicle without insurance.
It follows the seizure of herbal cannabis, with an estimated street value of £200,000, following a port policing operation in Belfast in partnership with HMRC and Belfast Harbour Police in the early hours of today, Wednesday morning, November 22.
The man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 23, for a first remand hearing.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
